![]() Bell Tower (Photograph #9178)
This bell tower is one of two on the church of San José de Gracia in the mountain village of Trampas, New Mexico. The church is one of the finest surviving examples of Spanish colonial church architecture in New Mexico. Built about 1760 with “primitive” materials and simple technology, the existing structure presents an elegant facade that combines strong verticals and wood with the softer forms and rounded edges of adobe. The photograph is printed on archival Museo Silver Rag photo paper using Epson Ultrachrome pigment based inks and complemented with a soft-white mat. An optional black aluminum frame by Nielsen completes a piece of art that's ready to hang. This photograph is available in two sizes: 8"x10" matted to 11"x14" and 11"x14" matted to 16"x20".
