![]() Sorcerer"s Apprentices (Photograph #4147)
A Phragmipedium, often known as a slipper orchid, sends a tall stem from its fan of strap-like leaves. A stunning reddish “slipper” bloom develops at the end of the stem. As the bloom matures, the stem grows longer and supports a second bud that unfolds as the first flower fades. The specimen pictured produces a 3 foot stem with three to five large flowers. The photograph is printed on archival fine art photo paper using Epson Ultrachrome pigment based inks and complemented with a soft-white mat. An optional black aluminum frame by Nielsen completes a piece of art that's ready to hang. This photograph is available in two sizes: 8"x12" matted to 12"x16" and 12"x18" matted to 18"x24".
