Crossing the Plains (Photograph #7111)
Surveying for the east-west railroad line across Kansas started in 1862 and the tracks were completed in 1870. The job was done so quickly because the route was chosen based on the flattest and straightest path available. That path hasn’t changed significantly since the original rails were placed. The photograph is printed on archival Museo Silver Rag photo paper using Epson Ultrachrome pigment based inks and complemented with a soft-white mat. An optional black aluminum frame by Nielsen completes a piece of art that's ready to hang. This photograph is available in two sizes: 8"x10" matted to 11"x14" and 11"x14" matted to 16"x20".
